Announcing New Members to the NPI Governance Consulting Board

Johannesburg, 07th August 2018 – NPI Governance Consulting announced today that they have appointed Happy Ntshingila as Non-Executive Chairman of the board.  Happy Ntshingila comes into this new role following the end of term of Cheryl Carolus, who served superbly as NPI Chairperson for two years.  Commenting on the appointment, Israel Noko, CEO said “Mr Ntshingila brings with him a wealth of knowledge from our industries of operation; including Media & marketing and ICT His contribution to the NPI Board will be invaluable as we continue to seek new and innovative ways to impart sustainable and economic growth for our clients.”

With a strong entrepreneurial background, Ntshingila co-founded one South Africa’s first black owned advertising agencies, HerdBouys. Among many of the company’s achievements, HerdBouys was responsible for positioning and launching the new colours of national airline, South African Airways, post 1994.

Ntshingila commented: “I look forward to my role and the opportunity to expand NPI’s mandate, locally and internationally, especially as we look to help clients exploit the changes we are seeing in South Africa’s business landscape, regarding the newly implemented B-BBEE codes.”

Happy Ntshingila currently serves as the Chairman of Washirika 3 Oaks, a design-build company with a clear focus on the health and banking sectors. He is also the founder of an investment company with interests in the ICT, media and marketing sectors.  He is a specialist marketing advisory consultant. Ntshingila was the CEO of premium television sports coverage channel, SuperSport. In 2012, he was appointed by the Presidency as the Deputy Chairman of Brand South Africa, a position he held for six years.

 

NPI Governance Consulting is equally thrilled to announce the appointment of Professor Shirley Zinn as a Non-Executive Director to the board.

Shirley Zinn is a renowned Professor at the University of Pretoria and Adjunct Professor at the University of Cape Town. With a wealth of experience in Human Resources and People Management, she is also the former Group Head of Human Resources at Woolworths Holdings Limited.

Professor Zinn commented: “I’m very excited to join the board of NPI Governance Consulting. The company’s contribution to transformation and skills development has been exemplary thus far and I look forward to playing a part in driving that further.”

Professor Zinn is a best-selling author of her autobiography, “Swimming Upstream”. She is the founder and CEO of Shirley Zinn Consulting, providing consulting and advisory services in HR, Transformation, Leadership and Education. She was also recently appointed as a Patron for the South African Council of Business Women and is a past President of the Institute for People Management in South Africa. She currently serves as a director on the boards of Tuesday Consulting, Empowerment Capital, Knowledge Resources, Business Engage and the Boston Consulting Group SA. Professor Zinn is a past Master HR Professional with the South African Board for People Practice.
